Confirmation Update February 23, 2026

Dear Parents and Candidates,

Thank you so much for signing up and for your patience and understanding. We had an overwhelming number of registrations (many after the original deadline!), and we truly appreciate everyone’s grace as we worked through it all.

✅ A Few Key Responsibilities to Keep in Mind

Nothing overwhelming — just a few important pieces to stay on track:

1️⃣ Weekly Homily Notes

Each candidate is asked to take short notes each week from the homily at Mass (whether at St. Dominic’s or whichever church your family normally attends).

Later in the program, these notes will be emailed to Fr. Terry. More details will come closer to that time.

2️⃣ Retreat Attendance (Choose ONE Date | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Every candidate must attend one retreat:

May 9^th – Queen of Heaven
May 23^rd – St. Dominic’s

Additional assigned schools and details will be shared soon if you attend a school that is not one of the two above. If your assigned date does not work, you’re welcome to attend the other date.

3️⃣ Rehearsal

May 30^th at 4:00 PM
Approximately 45 minutes

It would be wonderful if candidates could attend.

4️⃣ Confirmation Celebration Dates at 7:00pm

Dominic’s: June 2
Queen of Heaven: June 4

If your child needs to switch or select their Confirmation date, we will be sending out a form in May for families to indicate their preference.

5️⃣ Passion Play OR Reflection of Gospel of Luke

We will be hosting a Passion Play this year! All candidates are required to either:

Participate in the Passion Play, or
Complete a journal reflection on the Gospel of Luke (500 words)

Passion Play practices will take place every Saturday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM starting Feb 28, 2026, with the performance on April 3^rd at the 1:00pm Good Friday Service. If those dates don't align with your schedules, Father Terry would be happy to read your 500-word reflection of the Gospel of Luke.

CONFIRMATION: Registration for the Confirmation program is now open. The deadline to register is February 13. All required forms and details are available on the parish website.
