Confirmation Retreat May 9 or May 23, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Dear Parents and Confirmandi,

We are very excited for your upcoming Confirmations this June! Before we get there, we are looking forward to our upcoming Confirmation Retreat.

Please note: this retreat is for Confirmation candidates only (students).

This retreat will be an opportunity for candidates to review Hopestone, deepen their understanding of the Sacrament of Confirmation, and bring everything together in preparation for their special day. All Hopestone material should be completed prior to the attended retreat.

Please RSVP using the link below and select one of the two mandatory retreat dates:

May 9 or May 23, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. You will find the assigned school schedule in the link, but we are able to accommodate the alternate date via the form submission if that assigned date doesn’t work.

Lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided.

Please remember to bring your one-page Reflection on the Gospel of Luke to the retreat to hand in.

If you participated in our Passion Play this past Lent, you are exempt from this reflection.

Weekly homily notes will be collected at a later date, closer to your Confirmation date.

Additionally, another email will be sent at the end of May with a form to select your preferred Confirmation date.

We are also excited to share our Alpha Youth Series, taking place next on:

May 16 and May 30, from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM All candidates are encouraged to attend for a fun and engaging experience with food, games, and great discussions.

Important Confirmation Updates & Dates

Mandatory Confirmation Retreat Dates (Finalized)

The Confirmation Retreat is mandatory for all candidates. Please see the assigned dates based on school:

Saturday, May 9 | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Queen of Heaven
• St. James

Saturday, May 23 | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• St. Dominic
• St. Edmund
• All Other Schools

If your assigned date does not work with your schedule, candidates may attend the alternate retreat date.

A Google Form will be sent during the last week of April for families to confirm their retreat attendance.

Confirmation Ceremony Dates (Finalized)

Tuesday, June 2 | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Thursday, June 4 | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

If your assigned Confirmation date does not work, candidates may attend the alternate Confirmation date.

A Google Form will be sent at the end of May to confirm your Confirmation ceremony attendance.

Hopestone Progress Update

We are very encouraged by the progress so far:

27 candidates have completed Hopestone :D
• 30 candidates are more than halfway completed :)
• 19 candidates have not yet started :(

If you have not yet started, we encourage you to begin as soon as possible.

Weekly Reflection Reminder

Candidates are reminded to continue working on the weekly homily reflections.

Additionally, if the candidate did not participate in the Passion Play, they are asked to complete a reflection on the Gospel of Luke (1page)

Instructions on how to submit these reflections will be provided in the coming weeks.

Candidates are also encouraged to join our Alpha Youth Series (Part 1) on Saturdays: May 2, May 9, May 16, and May 30 as part of their preparation journey.
